At Park Hotel, we’ve put a lot of effort into the details—both in the décor and in the personal service and dedication that have become the hotel’s hallmark over the years, first under my mother’s ownership and now mine. We have 18 rooms, including 4 suites—ideal if you’d like a little extra pampering or as a bridal suite. In addition to our own wine bar, Frederikshavn itself offers seven excellent restaurants on par with those in the big cities, as well as great seafood restaurants in both Sæby and Strandby, 10 minutes away.

And with Frederikshavn as your base, you have within 40 minutes day trips to Skagen, Lønstrup or Aalborg. Sæby, with its small harbour and an impressive church for such a small town, is just 10 minutes away—and it’s also possible to take a return ferry trip to Læsø, where renting a bike is a great idea. And if Palmestranden, the Powder Tower, Frederikshavn’s beautiful church, Fiskerklyngen, the Frederikshavn Art Museum, Pikkerbakken or Bangsbo Manor and Park aren’t enough to keep you busy 🙂 On a visit in November/December, you’ll experience a magical atmosphere in Frederikshavn with the town’s extraordinary Christmas decorations—and you can also enjoy delicious homemade glögg and treats when you return to the wine bar after a long, experience-filled day.
